Lenore started out by doing part of her Co-op program with us in 2016 and she later graduated in the year 2018 from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2018. She started working with us in the year 2020 where she quickly assumed the title of head Veterinary Technician. Before this, Lenore graduated the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant college in 2012, and received a degree in Science and Art on the island of St. Kitts. Lenore has over 15 years of hands-on experience working on a farm where she learned how to work with cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and horses. This includes meal preparation, feeding, administering medications, delivering their babies, and non-invasive medical procedures such as neutering. There, she gained irrevocable experiences and training that she would carry on in her future career. Lenore also emersed herself in studies for plants and soil for about 4 years. She has been a proud variety dog owner all her life and has had the opportunity of owning three Vervet Monkeys on the sister island of Nevis. Today she owns an Argentine Dogo, Shih Tzu- Poodle mix rescue, and White Persian cat rescue. These days Lenore spends her time assisting Dr. Piotrowski with examinations, lab tests, being the anesthetist, dental assistant, pet nurse, answering your calls for inquires, or doing administrative duties in order to maintain the smooth running of the hospital. Her future plans are, to one day open up a pet hotel and to replicate the healthy, happy farm life she had on the tiny island of Nevis. But until then, you’ll find her spoiling her nieces, nephews, and her pet-kids, listening to audio books, and singing any chance she gets.
